Citrix Essentials for XenServer and Hyper-V

This six-hour class exness will educate participants on the compelling benefits of the new Citrix Essentials for XenServer and Hyper-V product line for managing virtualized workloads. We will discuss consolidation and management features that increase the agility, scalability and dynamism of a virtualized server infrastructure running on XenServer or Microsoft Hyper-V. We will also explain best practices for configuring scaling tests for capacity planning. Hands-on portions will be taught using Citrix XenServer.

Prerequisites:
Foundational knowledge of virtualization concepts, including XenServer basics. The Citrix Education courses on XenServer (CXS-2001I – Implementing Citrix XenServer Enterprise Edition 5.0) and Provisioning Server (CPV-200-1I – Implementing Citrix Provisioning Server 5.0) are recommended prerequisites.
Students are required to bring their own exness broker laptops.

Hands-on with the Citrix Delivery Center – featuring Workflow Studio orchestration and Citrix Receiver

This workshop provides attendees a chance to get hands-on experience with Receiver and Workflow Studio in a Citrix Delivery Center environment. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding for the architecture of these products and best practices for deploying them. Attendees will learn how to create and configure workflows that orchestrate functionality like power management, user provisioning, dynamic resource allocation, disaster recovery and product automation. Attendees will also learn how to configure the Receiver and leverage it to easily provide user exness sign up access to applications and desktops - simplifying client management for IT.

Prerequisites:
Basic understanding of Citrix XenApp, Citrix NetScaler and Windows administration.
Students are required to bring their own laptops.

Providing high availability and security for multi-site XenApp farms

Citrix XenApp contains many critical components; a failure of any one of them means users will not receive their applications. Integrating NetScaler server load balancing and Global Server Load Balancing capabilities for multiple servers and sites will ensure high XenApp availability across the enterprise. With SmartAccess technology, administrators are provided ultimate flexibility in developing and implementing corporate security policies. This six-hour class featuring a virtual lab will train attendees to take advantage of the tight integration between NetScaler and XenApp to provide a high-performance, fault-tolerant and secure application delivery solution.

Prerequisites:
Knowledge of XenApp and Web Interface is required; any level of NetScaler knowledge is desirable.

Virtual desktop delivery with XenDesktop

Citrix XenDesktop is a user-centric desktop virtualization solution that provides a complete system for desktop delivery. XenDesktop dynamically assembles virtual desktops on demand, providing users a pristine and personalized desktop each time they log on. This six-hour class will take participants through a detailed, hands-on experience with XenDesktop 3, including deployment architecture and use cases, installation and configuration, and best practices for a successful pilot implementation.

XenApp 5.0 hands-on technical training

The powerful functionality of Citrix XenApp 5, Platinum Edition is the focus of this six-hour class covering technical content and hands-on lab exercises. Learn what’s new and explore features such as profile management, load testing, enhanced application delivery through streaming, monitoring of the user experience using integrated EdgeSight for XenApp, prioritized load management and much more. We will take a consultative approach to upgrading to XenApp 5, Platinum Edition with Windows Server 2003 or Windows Server 2008. This is your chance to jump-start or enhance your knowledge of XenApp 5.

Prerequisites:
CCA for XenApp (Presentation Server) 4.5 or equivalent experience is suggested.
